As you can imagine, the prices for bedroom sets vary depending on the number of pieces you need and the quality of the bedroom set.
For a standard five-piece, paper finish or wood veneer bedroom set including a queen bed frame, dresser, mirror, one nightstand, and a chest, you can expect to pay anywhere from $999 to $1,499.
Generally, you don’t want to spend less than $999 on a queen bedroom set because the drawers tend to be smaller and come with wooden center glides, which don’t open or close as smoothly as metal side glides.
The pieces in a cheaper bedroom set also tend to be smaller overall and aren’t constructed quite as well as bedroom sets in the $999-$1,499 price range.
However, there are exceptions to this rule; we sell a five-piece queen bedroom set for $799. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $999, but because we get a deal on these sets, we’re able to sell them for $200 less.
Bedroom sets typically feature prices with queen beds; if you’re looking for bedroom set with a king bed, just add another $200-$300 to the set price.
You can buy a bedroom set piece-by-piece, but, more often than not, you get the best deal by purchasing the set.
There are times when you may not need a complete bedroom set, though, and there’s no need to buy additional pieces you can’t use.
For instance, you may just have enough room for a headboard, nightstand, and chest in your guest bedroom (this grouping of pieces is sometimes referred to as a “Florida bedroom”).
What if you want a solid wood bedroom set? You’ll have to shell out a bit more as these tend to run from $3,300 to $5,000.
Why? Solid wood furniture is far more expensive to produce, so that’s why you’ll often see more wood veneer furniture on the market.
But you’re still getting a wood product with wooden veneer furniture as it’s constructed by wood-grade plywood and topped with a thin layer of wood in the desirable finish (the veneer).
